Young Composers Competition

Every other year, the EPO invites submissions of original orchestral compositions from Canadians 32 years of age and under for judging by an expert panel.

3 cash prizes are awarded and the EPO performs the Grand Prize winning composition at a regular season concert.

The 2021/22 Competition will proceed despite the pandemic! The application form will be available in March with the deadline for submissions being November 2021.

Promising High School Composer: Achilles Jiang “Sunrise”

Note: Due to cancellation of the March 2020 and 2021 concerts, “Unanswered Letters” will be programmed at a future performance.
