Austin Tzu Kuan Chao

Austin is a professional cellist located in Toronto. Born in Taiwan but grew up in Canada, he began his musical journey at the young age of 5. He has a Bachelor's degree in Cello Performance in University of Toronto under the guidance of famous Canadian Cellist Shauna Rolston. Later he pursued his music studies further in Mannes New School of Music in New York and studied under Cellist Ronald Thomas. There, he has played with the renowned Martha Graham Dance Company for the Rite of Spring and has represented the school of Mannes at the Mannes Sound Festival. Now back to the city of Toronto, he performs frequently, and he is now the Principal Cellist of Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra.
