Frequently Asked Questions
Is there free parking?
YES! Check the map which shows the options in RED.
Is this indoors?
Performances are inside G Building. Artisans and booths (Etobicoke Philharmonic, Humber College, Arts Etobicoke, Lakeshore Arts) are under tents on the terrace.
Is there seating? What's the performance venue?
We will have as many chairs as possible but able-bodied attendees might have to stand, or sit on the floor. The venue is casual - a sunny room overlooking the grassy quad; not a formal, hushed auditorium. Each performance is 20-30 min.
How long should I plan to be there?
Well, you could make it a full-day outing! Pack a lunch and bike to the event through gorgeous Samuel Smith waterfront park. Or drive / TTC and buy lunch nearby. Picnic on the terrace or the grassy quadrangle, or stroll down to the waterfront.
Is food available?
We will give away treats (candy, crackers, chips) from different cultures. There is no food or drink for sale on campus but there are many food options within an 8 min. walk to: Japanese, Mexican, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, pizza. See directions.
Are there washrooms available?
Yes. Accessible washroom is available in the building.
Is it really free? How? Why?
Yes! FREE! You will be showing support for the future multi-million-dollar Humber Cultural Hub and its 500 seat performance hall in 2026. Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra is paying performers. Humber College is providing the venue and jazz ensemble. Donations are most welcome, of course:)
Are children welcome?
Yes! They'll love the variety of music and dance, the waterfront park and a picnic. We'll have an interesting treat for them (and you) to try.
