Recently hailing from London, trumpeter Andrew Bearcroft is quickly establishing himself as one of the ﬁnest players in his generation. A graduate of the Royal College of Music (UK), Mr. Bearcroft brings with him extensive experience in both orchestra and chamber performance, as well as with brass band. He began studying the trumpet at the age of nine with Christine Terry and has also studied with Paul Archibald, Paul Beniston, and Phil Bainbridge. A passionate teacher himself, Mr. Bearcroft was on the faculty of Sutton & West Sussex Music Services where he taught trumpet fundamentals to children from the ages of eight to eighteen and led ensembles of winds and big band.
While in England, Mr. Bearcroft was a member of many ensembles including the Kew Wind Orchestra as principal trumpet, the award winning Zone One Brass Band, and the London Welsh Brass Quintet, which was featured on BBC's 'The One Show' in 2009. Other television appearances include performing on the soundtrack to Channel Four's documentary "The World's...and Me".
Mr. Bearcroft has been a member of the Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra for two seasons, and also serves as second trumpet with the Niagara Symphony Orchestra. He is a recent graduate of the world-renowned Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music.Tweet
