Engaged in both symphonic and operatic conducting, Maestro Mastromonaco has held posts with Opera Mississauga, the National Academy Orchestra, York Symphony Orchestra and most recently served at the State University of New York where he taught conducting and worked with the Symphony Orchestra, Opera and Chamber Orchestras.

Maestro Mastromonaco is regularly engaged as a guest conductor for the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra, Czech Republic and has had the occasion to conduct various ensembles including the Camerata Strumetale di Prato, Orchestra di San Giorgio, National Arts Centre Orchestra and most recently members of the Pittsburgh Symphony and Bethany College Choir.

A graduate of the University of Toronto, Mr. Mastromonaco went on to receive a Master of Music Degree in Orchestral Conducting from the State University of New York, attaining summa cum laude honours. With extensive international training he also holds diplomas in orchestral conducting from the Wiener Meisterkurze of the Vienna Conservatory, from the Mozarteum Sommerakademie in Salzburg and from the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy.

Maestro Mastromonaco has served as clinician and adjudicator in Canada and the United States. His leisure pastime includes serving as Music Director for diverse ensembles including the internationally acclaimed Philippine Heritage Band and the Toronto Italian Band. Mr. Mastromonaco has been the recipient of prestigious awards including the Emme Contestabile Prize in Orchestral Conducting from Accademia Musicale Chigiana and the City of Vaughan, 2005 Outstanding Citizen Award.
